The North Dakota Water Education Foundation was created to help North Dakotans face the challenges of water. Knowledge and understanding are essential for informed decision-making. Through the programs of the North Dakota Water Education Foundation, information about water supply and delivery, water management, water quality, and water issues will result in wise decisions for the present and the future.

Audiences:

The programs of the North Dakota Water Education Foundation are for decision-makers, water managers, farmers and landowners, K-12 students and educators, natural resource professionals and the general public of North Dakota.

Organization

The North Dakota Water Education Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation. The Foundation is governed by a 15-member board of directors, representing a variety of areas and interests across the state. Each of the Foundation's four programs are under the supervision of a management committee.

Water Resources Scholarship Endowment

In honor of Russell L. Dushinske and Warren L. Jamison's distinguished service, dedicated leadership and lifelong devotion to water development in North Dakota, the North Dakota Water Education Foundation, family members, friends and colleagues established the Dushinske & Jamison Water Resource Scholarship Endowment within the North Dakota Community Foundation.

Income from the Dushinske & Jamison Water Resource Scholarship Endowment will provide scholarships to deserving students whose family has taken an active role in North Dakota water management.

Contributions to the Dushinske & Jamison Water Resource Scholarship Endowment may be made through the North Dakota Water Education Foundation.

Scholarship applications are available at the North Dakota Water Education Foundation office and are due every April 1. The scholarship recipient is announced every May.
